Why “Blue”? The name pays homage to the Blues—a genre steeped in history and emotion, born from the resilience and creativity of African enslaved people in the southern United States. Their worksongs, played on instruments, crafted amidst the toil of cotton plantations and railroads, evolved into the heartfelt blues and laid the foundation for many of today’s popular music styles.

Why “Delta”? The “Delta” reflects not only the rich musical heritage of the American Southern Delta, but also resonates with the Netherlands, the Band’s home—a Delta in its own right.

Blue Delta plays their music acoustically with light amplification best suiting the songs in intimate and pure performances, straight from the heart.
